R. Kelly – Your Body’s Callin

Your Body’s Callin is a 1994 single by R. Kelly from his album 12 Play.[1] Kelly also released a remix as a B-side to the single featuring his protégé Aaliyah called the Your Body’s Calling His N Hers Mix. Norman Brown covered the song in 1996 in his album Better Days Ahead. The song was a top-20 pop hit and went to number 2 on the R&B charts, being held back one position on that chart by another song he wrote and produced, Back and Forth by Aaliyah and Any Time, Any Place by Janet Jackson which he remixed and became popular within the Quiet Storm radio format.

Hip hop producer DJ Premier sampled Kelly singing It’s unbelievable for The Notorious B.I.G.‘s song Unbelievable on his album Ready to Die released later in 1994.

The song has also been sampled by Isley’s longtime collaborator Kelly by The Isley Brothers on the song Warm Summer Nights from the album Eternal, released in 2001.

The song has also been sampled by Whodini on the song Be My Lady also featuring Kelly, from their album Six.

Lyrics:

I hear you callin’, Here I come baby
To save you, oh oh
Baby no more stallin’
These hands have been longing to touch you baby
And now that you’ve come around, to seein’ it my way
You won’t regret it baby, and you surely won’t forget it baby
It’s unbelieveable how your body’s calling for me
I can just hear it callin’ callin’ for me

My Body’s callin’ for you
My Body’s callin’ for You
My Body’s callin’ for you
My Body’s callin’ for You
