Listen to Stevie Stone’s New Scott Storch Produced Single “Whipping Up” ft. DB Bantino

Stevie Stone has partnered with the biggest producers of his career for his forthcoming Level Up album. Due in stores June 2, the 14-track project features material helmed by Scott Storch (Beyonce, Dr. Dre, 50 Cent), Purps of 808 Mafia (Migos) and Dem Jointz (Dr. Dre, Rihanna, Brandy), among others.

Scott Storch manned the boards for Stevie’s newly released single, “Whipping Up” featuring DB Bantino, a braggadocio ode to living life to the fullest.

Stevie Stone recorded much of Level Up in California, a first, and also went with his initial reaction when writing songs for the collection.

“I just wrote whatever felt good,” Stevie Stone explains. “The first thing that was coming to me, I would just go ahead and do it. All my previous albums, I may have sat on it for a second, gave it some thought. This one, I was just like, let’s go. Let’s come out swinging for every record, but let’s have fun in the same sense.”

Dem Jointz (Dr. Dre, Rihanna, Brandy) lent his sonic mastery to “Paradise,” a thematically sharp song where Stevie Stone examines the ups and downs of the music industry experience.  The track was co-produced by Fred Wreck (Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Brittney Spears, The Doors). “Old School” finds Stevie Stone reflecting on movies and music that helped define him throughout his life, while “All Yours” finds him teaming with Strange Music boss Tech N9ne for a sensual song about pleasing women in multiple ways.

Level Up is Stevie Stone’s fourth Strange Music album, one that marks him hitting his creative stride and personal peace. “I’m understanding my lane even more,” he explains. “I understand what I’m supposed to be doing. I’m more in tune with myself now.”

You can catch Stevie Stone’s energetic stage show on Tech N9ne’s Strictly Strange Tour 2017 through June 4. The tour will be hitting New York City at The Playstation Theatre on May 12, Chicago on May 25 and Stevie’s hometown of St. Louis on May 26. All remaining dates can be found at www.StrangeVip.com
